The Kingsley Clinic is permanently closed due to the retirement of its founder and director, Dr. Alexander N. Kingsley, effective December 31, 2013.

This is the culmination of a distinguished career in surgery that began 45 years ago after Dr. Kingsley graduated from medical school at age 23. This was followed by surgical specialty and subspecialty training in General, Colon & Rectal and Cancer Surgery, and a ten year stint in academic surgery as Director of a General Surgery Residency Program and Professor of Surgery in Michigan.

In 1985, Dr. Kingsley and his family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he established a very successful private practice. The Kingsley Clinic became a regional multi-state referral center for the treatment of abdominal malignancies and complex conditions of the colon and rectum that required advanced training and expertise. He developed several operative techniques and innovations that enhanced patients' recovery and improved their overall outcome. In addition, Dr. Kingsley modified many instruments to maximize their usefulness in his operations and holds patents for new designs.

Dr. Kingsley is the author of over 40 publications and is a local and national speaker on his specialty. He is also a medico-legal advisor and an expert witness in medical litigation.

Patients who request old records for services provided before December 31, 2010 should obtain them from the institution where their procedures were performed, such as Bryan Medical Center, Nebraska Surgery Center or St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, or from their Primary Care Provider.
