Dr. Alexander N. Kingsley


Prior to moving to Lincoln, Dr. Kingsley spent 10 years as a medical educator and teacher of surgery in Michigan. He served as Director of Surgical Education and Director of the Intensive Care Unit in a major teaching hospital, and was Associate Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University.

In addition to all aspects of General Surgery, Dr. Kingsley has special interest, expertise and extensive experience in the surgical management of cancer of the colon and rectum and inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease) as well as reconstructive intestinal and rectal surgery (for incontinence and rectal prolapse). He has been an advocate and practitioner of bloodless surgery for many years. Dr. Kingsley is highly skilled and very experienced in Colonoscopy and has successfully and safely performed over 20,000 procedures.

Dr. Kingsley is the author of over 30 published medical works and has developed several surgical innovations. He acts as a consultant in surgery locally and nationally. He is frequently invited to speak on surgical subjects to local groups and at national conferences. Dr. Kingsley also serves as an expert witness in complex legal cases.

Dr. Kingsley volunteers in medical missions to underdeveloped countries. He has travelled to many locations around the world and is fluent in several languages. His other interests are the Arts & Literature, deep sea fishing and aquatic sports.
